Our
Competences Defined
The core of the Strategic Success Modelling process is the SSM library
of competences from which unique competency models are built. In
developing the Strategic Success Modelling library, well-respected
existing competency model libraries were extensively reviewed to
identify common, core concepts across models. The
models reviewed include:
- SHL
- Development
Dimensions International
- BT.Novations
- Personnel
Decisions International: Management Skills Profile
- Personnel
Decisions International: Profiler
- The
Lominger Leadership Architect
- TTI
Performance Systems, Ltd.
- Hay
McBer
- CCL
Also,
Bigby, Havis & Associates in its own consulting practice has
had years of experience in developing competency models for numerous
client organisations across a variety of roles, and used this expertise
in the development of the SSM Competency library. The resulting
ASSESS Strategic Success Model framework is a consolidation and
integration of the important concepts across existing models, developed
with the business and organisational perspective we have gained
over the years from helping clients with their Strategic Hiring
and Employee Development.
The ASSESS Strategic Success Model Library consists of 38 competences
grouped into three general areas: Thinking, Working and Relating.
Company-specific success models or success models tailored to a
job or job class can be constructed from typically 5-10 of these
competences with some drawn from each general area.
